Deliveries are taking a tip from sci-fi films - with postmen starting to use an electric unicycle to distribute post to customers. The modern eco-friendly AirWheel has a top speed of 12mph and an inbuilt stabiliser that allows riders to travel wherever pedestrians go – including sand and dirt tracks. Employees of whistl – formerly TNT Post – have begun to trial the gadget in London, Manchester, Liverpool and Birmingham. The gadget – which has a range of 28 miles and recharges when it goes downhill – was met with astonished reactions from onlookers on Monday (September 15).
Belgian scientists claim success in blocking tumour metastasis
A research paper by Belgian scientists at the Université Catholique de Louvain claims to have found a way to inhibit the metastasis of carcinogenic tumours in mice, which as Joel Flynn reports, could potentially open a new avenue of treatment for breast and skin cancers.

Rob Pattinson and Kristen Stewart cannot keep their hands off each other even when the cameras aren't rolling as they shoot a Twilight film. The pair took part in a long and tricky night shoot of a street party scene for Breaking Dawn in Rio de Janeiro, but despite going into the early hours of the morning with numerous takes they were clearly enjoying each other's company, joking and tenderly holding hands even when taking directions from the senior crew. The scene sees them walking through the crowd before sharing a passionate kiss. Kristen's character Bella has an engagement ring visible on her finger.
