Pageant boys: the boys who enter beauty pageants against girls and win
WITH the promise of being a princess for the day, child pageants have always attracted young girls in their droves. But that could all be about to change – because now boys want the chance to strut their stuff on the catwalk too. Meet brothers Jude, nine, and five-year-old Jake Collins-Godden, who are the UK’s most successful pageant boys. Since March this year, they have taken part in 15 contests - winning 20 crowns, four trophies and 65 sashes between them. There are so many different accolades that parents Sara, 44, and Graham, 45, have had to store many of them in boxes to make space in their three-bedroom home in Shoreham-by-Sea, West Sussex.
