Stunning time lapse of powerful volcanic eruption in Russia
THIS is the moment a powerful volcanic eruption is caught on camera as it spews molten lava hundreds of feet into the air. Brit volcanic photographer Dr. Richard Roscoe says he stayed awake for up to 20 hours straight in a bid to capture the stunning shots. He traveled thousands of miles from Munich, Germany, to the Far East of Russia, to picture the Shiveluch and Kliuchevskoi volcanoes. At Shiveluch, he plotted up just 3.5 miles away in an area previously decimated by an earlier eruption.
