Footage of cooling towers being demolished at Didcot power station
THREE huge cooling towers at a disused power station have been blown up using 180kg of explosives. Despite warnings to expect a dust cloud, hundreds of people gathered to watch the demolition at the Didcot A Power Station in Oxfordshire. The coal-fueled power station, which has been a fixture of the skyline since 1970, ceased generating in March 2013.
