Bing helps Bournemouth man create an all singing and dancing marriage proposal!
As part Microsoft’s Bing is for Doing campaign, Andrew Hall, a local security guard from Bournemouth, got in touch with the Bing team and asked them if they would help him create an extra special wedding proposal for his girlfriend, Katie Paton. The Bing team thought it was a fantastic idea and last week helped him to create an all singing and dancing marriage proposal in Bournemouth’s town centre.
As part of their on-going charity initiative, Bing is featuring the Kent Surrey & Sussex Ambulance Trust this month.
It is a registered charity established to help sick and injured people in South East England and surrounding areas by providing a Helicopter Emergency Medical Service (HEMS). Responding swiftly to 999 calls, the Air Ambulance can deliver a highly skilled team of Specialist Doctors and Critical Care Paramedics to the patient at the scene. It costs £5 million per year to keep the service running; this money is raised almost entirely via voluntary donations.
This time round Bing UK has handed their homepage over to The Pluto Appeal, a charity very close to the heart of Mr Jason Bradbury, host of the Gadget show U.K. The appeal’s mission is to raise £1 million to buy Pluto, a surgical robot, with a special technique.
This month Bing UK has handed over their Homepage to The Chawton House Library, a charity that concentrates on education and heritage, holding a unique collection of early women’s writing circa 1600-1830. They offer readers the chance to research and engage with a wealth of texts, in a historic and tranquil surroundings.
