Spectacular whale and dolphin migration caught on camera
Humpback whales leap into the air and a huge pod of dolphins surround a small boat as a wildlife cameraman enjoys a once-in-a-lifetime trip. The incredible footage was captured off the coast of Port Elizabeth, South Africa, by Silke Schimpf, 45, as she attempted to film some of the 2,000 whales that make their annual migration from Antarctica to the southern tip of the continent. The two enormous animals leapt into the air, spraying sea water onto the photographer and glistening in the sun’s rays. The dream trip continued when she was surrounded by a huge pod of dolphins.
